Vamshi Karangula, Vice-President- Industrial & Warehousing, Sumadhura Group said, “In 2025, the warehousing sector saw steady demand, with occupiers taking a more selective approach. Requirements extended well beyond scale, with greater emphasis on location efficiency, operational preparedness, and long-term usability. This shift was evident at Sumadhura Logistics Park in Bengaluru, where demand increasingly gravitated toward well-planned, Grade-A warehouses in established logistics corridors, underscoring a clear transition toward quality-driven development. The year also saw increased adoption of organised warehousing solutions by quick-commerce companies, driven by the need for strategically located, efficient facilities that can support faster fulfilment cycles and high-volume operations. Looking ahead to 2026, growth is expected to remain measured and purposeful rather than aggressive. The focus will be on developing warehouses that are practical, sustainable, and future-ready—designed to support automation, regulatory compliance, and evolving supply-chain complexities. In major Tier-I markets such as Bengaluru and Hyderabad, strong consumption demand, expanding e-commerce and quick-commerce activity, and improving logistics infrastructure are expected to continue driving stable absorption. At Sumadhura, we see warehousing strengthening as a core real estate asset class, where enduring value in these markets will be created through thoughtful planning, robust infrastructure, and long-term asset reliability, rather than rapid expansion alone.”
