
Members of Delhi Customs Brokers Association (DCBA), led by President Devendra Singh Bhadoria, visited the newly developed multimodal cargo terminal of AISATS at Noida International Airport (NIA) to assess cargo handling facilities and emerging business prospects ahead of its launch. Addressing 70 customs brokers and LSPs, Shailesh Kumar, AVP, Commercial and Business Development, AISATS, announced domestic cargo ops are likely to begin by mid-April 2026 and global ops to follow in 90 days. The first phase of the 87-acre multimodal cargo hub will feature a 30-acre ICT and a 57-acre IWLZ), designed to handle all types of cargo including perishables and temperature-sensitive shipments. Raj Mahmia, Head, Cargo Logistics Services (Pan India), AISATS, highlighted the hub’s multimodal connectivity and value-added services, while Bhadoria stressed on the need for seamless, tech-driven ops, development of AFSs/CFSs near the airport, and positioning the facility as a major transshipment hub to boost EXIM trade and support India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
