Drip Capital Inc. has signed a pact with the Maharashtra government to facilitate investments in the state and expand access to trade finance for Maharashtra-based MSMEs engaged in exports. The pact was signed on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. Under the agreement, Drip Capital has committed to disburse ₹10,000 crore in collateral-free trade finance to the MSMEs over the next five years (2026–2031). The initiative aims to enable exporters to access timely working capital, scale cross-border trade ops, and participate actively in global supply chains. According to SIDBI estimates, Indian MSME sector faces a credit gap of ₹30 lakh crore. This financing shortfall continues to limit the ability of MSMEs to scale operations and compete in global markets. Bridging this gap presents an economic opportunity, with the potential to unlock ₹9–10 lakh crore in export value annually and accelerate India’s export-led growth.
