Emirates SkyCargo has unveiled ambitious growth plans for the next 12 months, placing freighter expansion at the heart of its strategy. The cargo division of Emirates Airline aims to add 10 Boeing 777 freighters in 2026, strengthening capacity, expanding its global network, and improving operational flexibility and schedule reliability. Currently, Emirates SkyCargo operates a freighter fleet comprising 11 Boeing 777Fs and five wet-leased Boeing 747 freighters. With the planned additions, the airline expects to operate at least 21 Boeing 777 freighters by the end of the year, significantly enhancing its dedicated cargo capabilities. The expansion is supported by a robust order pipeline. Emirates SkyCargo has 10 new-build Boeing 777 freighters on order, alongside 10 Boeing 777 passenger-to-freighter conversions placed with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Together, these aircraft will play a critical role in supporting the airline’s long-term cargo growth strategy and meeting rising global demand for air freight services.
