
Even as the Union Budget 2026-27 is around the corner, Gayomard Driver, CFO, Jeena & Company, has highlighted the need for sustained policy focus on the logistics sector and freight forwarding as a key driver of economic growth. He called for continued investment in infrastructure, faster multimodal connectivity, GST rationalisation, Customs procedures, and policies aligned with shifting global supply chains to help lower logistics costs and improve capital efficiency. Emphasising the importance of sustainability, EoDB, skill development, and accelerated technology adoption, Driver noted a simpler regulatory framework and infrastructure funding would enhance India’s global competitiveness, while encouraging private capital participation in the sector.
