Sunil Kohli, MD, Rahat Cargo said, “With a view to achieve fruitful objectives in the new year, the air cargo industry needs a prioritised investment in technology aided by public private partnerships while focusing on sustainability, apart from developing its workforce to attain latest technological skills coupled with diversifying operations. The developments of airports with adequate logistics facilities at the tier-2 & 3 cities will also have to be undertaken. The due priorities need to be accorded towards heightened e-commerce transactions followed by an accelerated exports of pharmaceuticals, fresh & time sensitive cargo, electronics, auto parts and electronics A complete transition to electronic modes of functioning will also be prudent to reduce paperwork, fasten the customs clearance, and improve data accuracy.”
