‘Longer sea journeys, rising marine insurance add to logistics costs’

govil

CK Govil, CMD, Activair Airfreight India, said, “Freight and insurance costs are under pressure. Indian exporters face shipment delays and port standstills due to heightened risks in the Red Sea. Some ships are rerouting away from Red Sea. Longer sea journeys and marine insurance add to the logistics costs. Airspace changes/closures are pushing carriers to alter routes, affecting cargo capacity, and raising air cargo rates.”
