Balagopal Balachandran, National Head – Air Freight said, “Cross-border e-commerce enables Indian businesses to sell directly to global consumers through digital platforms, supported by air cargo and express logistics — Converting Digital Demand into Export Growth. By 2026, India’s cross-border e-commerce is expected to grow at over 20% CAGR, driven by rising MSME participation, expanded international cargo capacity, and policy initiatives such as the Foreign Trade Policy and digitised customs. The opportunity is clear:- broader market access, faster cash cycles, and improved export realisation. However, scale alone will not create leadership, but execution will. Sustained momentum will depend on simplifying cross border compliance, controlling logistics costs, managing shipment returns efficiently, and ensuring reliable last mile delivery across diverse global markets.”
