Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, inaugurated the Phase-I of the Noida International Airport (NIA) at Jewar, marking the launch of the NCR’s second international airport and a major greenfield aviation project. Highlighting its significance for trade, the PM called the airport North India’s ‘logistics gateway’ emphasising its potential to boost cargo flow and regional economic growth. Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, described NIA as a “launch pad” for the state’s future, reflecting the progress of a New Uttar Pradesh and opening opportunities for youth, while accelerating industrial development. Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Civil Aviation Minister, added this milestone positions Jewar as a key hub for logistics and economic expansion in northern India.
