Qatar Airways Cargo (QR Cargo) resumes freighter and passenger operations to Baghdad, marking a key step in restoring its regional network after recent Gulf disruptions. The airline restarted weekly Boeing 777F services from Doha on 7 May, while twice-weekly passenger flights carrying cargo will resume from 10 May. Together, the services will provide over 127 tonnes of cargo capacity per week in each direction. The carrier has steadily rebuilt operations following regional instability, with freighter destinations now exceeding 60 and passenger routes expected to surpass 150 by mid-June. QR Cargo has also partnered with WFS for ground handling at Liège Airport, Belgium, where volumes continue to grow, reinforcing the airport’s position as a major European freight hub.
