Arun Kumar, Managing Director, InSynergy Supply Chain Solutions, said, “From the word go, we knew the figure hovered around 8 per cent, as stated in the NCAER report of 2018. Yet, despite consistent industry feedback, it took a full seven years to persuade the govt to revisit and correct the number published by NITI Aayog in the same year, which we knew was flawed. This prolonged delay underscoring how difficult it could it be to align official data with ground realities. Persistence, data-backed advocacy, and collective effort are required to bring about this long-overdue correction and restore credibility to the narrative.”
