Terminal at New Gulaothi built to boost freight linkage

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has commissioned the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal at New Gulaothi on the Eastern DFC. Inaugurated by MD Praveen Kumar, the project highlights improved logistics efficiency and reduced transportation costs. Developed in under a year at a cost of ₹11.40 crore, the terminal features modern warehousing, container handling systems, and a 750-metre goods line. It is likely to handle 40 rakes monthly, supporting flow of textiles, agri goods, steel, and automobile components. The facility will also enhance linkage for key industrial regions, enhance MSME competitiveness, generate jobs, and strengthen supply chains across Western UP.
