IATA has reconfigured the conference streams for this year’s World Cargo Symposium (WCS) 2026 in Lima, Peru, to reflect the evolving challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Under the 2026 theme, ‘Advancing Air Cargo in a Dynamic World,’ the event will focus on specialist cargo, regulatory developments, and digitalisation. New dedicated streams include a Special Cargo Stream covering areas such as live animals, pharmaceuticals, and cold chain integrity, along with the use of technologies, such as IoT and AI to boost supply chain resilience. A separate regulatory stream will address customs, trade facilitation, and security, helping the delegates to navigate in a complex global compliance landscape.
